Plaquex® IV Therapy

Plaquex is an advanced IV phospholipid therapy designed to support cardiovascular health, circulation, healthy cholesterol metabolism, cellular repair, and healthy aging. Its primary component, phosphatidylcholine (PC), is an essential building block of cell membranes throughout the body.

What is Plaquex?

Plaquex is an intravenous phosphatidylcholine therapy that works at one of the most fundamental levels of health: the cell membrane. Phosphatidylcholine is found throughout the body and is especially important to the heart, blood vessels, brain, liver, kidneys, and red blood cells.

Healthy cell membranes help regulate nutrient transport, waste removal, cell-to-cell communication, and the body’s response to oxidative stress. Plaquex provides essential phospholipids that can be incorporated into those membranes, supporting normal cellular structure and function.

Plaquex is best known in integrative medicine for its potential role in cardiovascular and arterial health, but its applications extend to circulation, lipid metabolism, liver health, brain health, and healthy aging.

What to expect

Plaquex is infused slowly to improve tolerance. Plan for about 90 minutes for the infusion, plus time for check-in, IV placement, and monitoring.

Unlike a hydration or energy IV, Plaquex isn’t designed to create an immediate boost. Its effects are considered cumulative, which is why it’s typically given as a series of treatments. Your Simply provider will review your medical history, medications, cardiovascular health, and relevant lab work before recommending Plaquex.

Benefits

  • Cardiovascular & arterial health: supports healthy blood vessels and overall cardiovascular function
  • Healthy cholesterol metabolism: phosphatidylcholine participates in the pathways that transport cholesterol through the body
  • Improved circulation: supports microcirculation and healthy red blood cell flexibility
  • Cell membrane repair: provides essential phospholipids cells use to maintain healthy structure and function
  • Brain & cognitive health: phospholipids are key components of neuronal membranes and may support healthy cognitive aging
  • Liver health: supports liver cell membranes and normal fat and cholesterol metabolism
  • Healthy aging & longevity: supports cellular integrity, nutrient transport, and normal responses to oxidative stress

Who it’s for

Plaquex may be considered for individuals looking to support:

  • Cardiovascular and arterial health
  • Atherosclerosis and arterial plaque
  • Coronary artery disease
  • Carotid artery plaque
  • Peripheral artery disease (PAD)
  • Poor circulation and microcirculation
  • Elevated cholesterol or triglycerides
  • Abnormal lipid metabolism
  • Fatty liver and metabolic liver concerns
  • Brain fog and cognitive health
  • Age-related cognitive concerns
  • Cellular repair
  • Healthy aging and longevity

For patients with known cardiovascular disease, Plaquex is used as an adjunctive therapy and does not replace appropriate cardiovascular evaluation, medications, procedures, or other established treatment.

Before you book

All Plaquex patients are medically evaluated before beginning treatment to make sure the therapy is appropriate for their health history and goals.

Plaquex IV therapy is not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Long COVID, or the other medical conditions discussed above. Some uses described are based on historical or emerging research involving phosphatidylcholine or essential phospholipids rather than large clinical trials of Plaquex itself. Plaquex should not replace appropriate medical evaluation or established treatment. Individual results vary.
