Galleri® Multi-Cancer Early Detection

When it comes to cancer, early detection can make a meaningful difference. The Galleri® Multi-Cancer Early Detection Test uses a simple blood draw to screen for a shared signal associated with more than 50 types of cancer—including many that don’t currently have standard screening options. At Simply Midland, it’s another way we help patients take a more proactive approach to their health.

Routine screenings only cover a handful of cancers

Mammograms, colonoscopies, and Pap smears are essential — and you should keep getting them. But together they screen for only a small fraction of the cancers people actually develop.

Pancreatic, ovarian, liver, esophageal, and many other cancers have no recommended screening test for people without symptoms. They're often found only after symptoms appear, when treatment options have narrowed.

Galleri is designed to close part of that gap.

How it Works

Simple blood draw

Your appointment takes just a few minutes. No fasting, no prep, no imaging.

DNA analysis

Cells throughout your body shed fragments of DNA into your bloodstream. Cancer cells shed DNA too — carrying distinct methylation patterns that set them apart from healthy cells. Galleri uses next-generation sequencing and machine learning to read those patterns.

Review results

Results return as either "No Cancer Signal Detected" or "Cancer Signal Detected." If a signal is found, the report also predicts the Cancer Signal Origin — where in the body the signal most likely started — to direct follow-up efficiently.

More than 50 types of cancer

Galleri looks for one signal shared across many cancers, rather than testing for each one individually. That includes cancers that are notoriously difficult to catch early:

  • Pancreas

  • Ovary

  • Liver

  • Esophagus

  • Gallbladder

  • Kidney

  • Head and neck

  • Small intestine

  • Bone and soft tissue

  • Blood cancers, including multiple myeloma and lymphoma

35,000+

participants in the PATHFINDER 2 study across the U.S. and Canada

~71%

of Galleri-detected cancers were found at Stages I–III, when treatment is generally more effective

~3 in 4

of those cancers had no existing recommended screening test

The PATHFINDER study enrolled more than 6,600 adults aged 50 and older and showed the test could be integrated into routine clinical care, with accurate cancer signal origin prediction in nearly 9 out of 10 cases. PATHFINDER 2 went further: adding Galleri alongside standard screening substantially increased the number of cancers detected compared with standard screening alone.

Is Galleri right for you?

Galleri adds to your routine screenings - it doesn’t replace them

Galleri is an additional layer, designed to catch signals that conventional screening isn't built to find. Keep every screening your provider recommends. No screening test detects every cancer. A "No Cancer Signal Detected" result doesn't rule cancer out, and a "Cancer Signal Detected" result requires diagnostic follow-up to confirm. Galleri is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
