Plaquex contains phosphatidylcholine rich in unsaturated fatty acids. Research summarized by Plaquex suggests this form of phosphatidylcholine may increase LCAT activity, potentially supporting cholesterol esterification and transport.


So, does Plaquex "dissolve" plaque?

Not exactly—and we think this distinction is important.

Plaquex isn't thought to physically break chunks of plaque away from an artery.

Instead, one proposed mechanism is that it supports the body's own biochemical pathways for mobilizing, transporting, and processing cholesterol, including the LCAT/HDL reverse cholesterol transport system.

Because atherosclerosis is much more complicated than cholesterol alone, Plaquex should be considered one component of a comprehensive cardiovascular strategy—not a replacement for appropriate cardiovascular testing, medications, procedures, or lifestyle interventions.
